Aug. 14:  Ten year racing veteran Nick Marolf grabbed the lead from his outside front row starting position, endured a couple of cautions, and went on to capture the Precision Transmission 25-lap Late Model feature here at the Muscatine County Fairgrounds and West Liberty Raceway Saturday night.

Marolf's hot rod was fast all 25 laps leading, from flag to flag. Denny Eckrich, winner of the "Tornado Tuesday" event Tuesday night, started ninth on the grid and finished second.

Kevin Kile started third and finished third, while Andy Eckrich, who was up as high as second before darting into the pits during a lap 14 caution with a loose oil line, came through the field to run fourth. Polesitter Mike Klinkhammer placed fifth. ~ Larry Bontz
