Moyer Claims Eighth Career
"Magnolia State 100" at Columbus Speedway

COLUMBUS, Miss. Sept. 24.On Saturday night the finale for the 22nd annual Premier Ford
"Magnolia State 100" at Columbus Speedway saw Batesville, Ark. veteran Billy Moyer race to his
eighth win in the annual classic.

SUPR Series points leader Morgan Bagley
races his #14 past the equally battered #41 of NASCAR Craftsman Series regular Ty Dillon on his way
to fifth place at Columbus. Bagley started 25th.(Scott Oglesby)
Moyer survived an attrition-filled feature to claim the unprecedented eighth triumph.
Moyer received several challenges throughout the feature as well as some close calls in lap
traffic. At the checkered flag he would claim the $20,011 win by six car lengths over Bub
McCool, Eric Cooley (started 15th), Brian Rickman (started 21st), and Morgan Bagley (started
25th).

In the Crate Late Model division a great race was contested as Jeremy Shaw from Millport,
Ala. battled past early leader Chris Ragan on lap nine to take the lead and had to fight
off a late race, three-wide battle for the lead with Mike Boland and Justin McRee to claim the
$2,500 win. Boland, McRee, Dougie King, and Cliff Williams rounded out the top five at the
checkered flag.
Two-time event champion, Chris Wall from Springfield, La., started the night by qualifying
fastest with a lap of 13.589 seconds. Heat race wins went to Billy Moyer, Neil Baggett, Wendell
Wallace, Bub McCool, Dane Dacus, and Jay Burchfield claim the wins.
