Covert Collects "Lee Stultz Memorial" Win at Winchester

WINCHESTER, Va. - May 7 - Bettering a 30-car field of entries Jason Covert coming out on top of Saturday's "Lee Stultz Memorial" at Winchester Speedway.

D.J. Myers led Mark Pettyjohn at the start and the duo would stay together for the first four laps but Jamie Lathroum made a move on lap seven to take second.

By lap 11, the field was working lapped traffic, allowing Jason Covert to make his way into third by lap 12 before a caution flew on lap 14. Myers stayed  in control, while Covert made the pass on Lathroum for second on lap 18, and finally overtook Myers for the lead on lap 36 as Myers slowed, bringing out another caution.

As Myers went pitside with a broken rear, Covert went on to claim the win over Lathroum, Pettyjohn, Jeremy Miller, and Frankie Plessinger.
