Van Wormer Salvages Mt. Pleasant ALMS Win After Blown Time Trial, Near Miss in Feature 

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - May 28. Jeep Van Wormer overcame an early race gaffe and raced to Friday's American Late Model Series (ALMS) win the hard way, with a little help from the "luck of the draw".

Van Wormer slipped off the track during qualifying, but rumbled through the field to a second place finish in his heat. Drawing the outside pole, Van Wormer then overtook leader Curtis Roberts to race to the win.
