Hollingsworth Heads Up Duck River SRRS
WHEEL, Tenn. - March 6. “Right Foot” Ronny Lee Hollingworth took the grand prize in the second PPM Race Products
sponsored SRRS event of the 2010 season at Duck River Speedway as the middle Tennessee track drew drivers
from as far away as Illinois and Missouri.
Hollingsworth set the fastest time out of 31 drivers who registered for the
Ronnie Lee Hollingsworth (Thomas Hendrickson)
event, securing a front row starting position in the feature. At the drop of the green flag, Hollingsworth took
the lead and never looked back, leading the 40-lap race green to checkered.
During an interview at the Driver Autograph session, Ronny Lee stated that he had been to Duck River Speedway on
many occasions and had never really done any good there. And since he was sitting on the pole for the feature, he
would see how it all panned out.
There were only two cautions for the entire 40 laps. Caution number two came at lap 34 when David Seibers’
mounting brackets and other suspension parts were strewn through turns three and four. Chad Winkles was a
victim of the debris when part of the debris punctured his oil pan, putting an end to his night too.
Hard charger award went to Josh Putnam and his#212 out of Florence, Alabama. Putnam started the feature in
17th place and steadily moved to the front, finishing ninth.
