UDLMCS: Lloyd Takes "Scott Thompson Memorial"

BARBERVILLE, Fla. - June 26. Racers and fans gathered at Volusia Speedway Park on Saturday for the fifth running of the 2010 "Scott Thompson Memorial", featuring the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series. Ivedent Lloyd, Jr. picked

his way through the field from his eighth position start to garner the $3,800 win.

The race, designated in remembrance of the 2005 Volusia Speedway Park Track Champion who lost his life in a traffic accident, attracted a competitive field of 32 top late model racers from across the region, as the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series combined with the Daytona Dodge Chrysler Jeep Late Model Division from Volusia Speedway Park.
