 Phillips Tackles Turner For Sedalia MLRA/MARS

SEDALIA, Mo. - June 25. Finally prevailing after a lead-swapping duel with Eric Turner, Springfield, Missouri's
Terry Phillips scored his 97th career Lucas Oil MLRA win on Friday at the Historic Missouri State Fair Speedway.
The event was co-sanctioned with the MARS DirtCar Series. Turner put up a valiant battle throughout the main
event, swapping the lead back and forth with Phillips for several laps before ultimately settling for second. Denny
Eckrich finished a strong third, while Lucas Oil MLRA Point Leader Brad Looney worked his way from his seventh
starting position to finish in fourth on the ultra fast 1/2 mile. Al Purkey recovered from a heat race flat tire to
charge from 15th to fifth.
