GAFFNEY, S.C. - June 25. Jonathan Davenport put on a dominating display Friday by setting fast time and leading all 50 laps of the $7,000 12th annual "Grassy Smith Memorial" at Cherokee Speedway.

Davenport held off challenges from Johnny Pursley and JeffSmith on a dry and narrow racing groove. Casey Roberts held second early on before he bobbled and was spun around by Dennis Franklin before retiring. Pursley took up the chase, but seventh starting Jeff Smith got by him on a lap 30 restart to chase Davenport to a second place finish.
