Total Seal Late Model Series: Cornell Conquers Canyon

Kevin Montgomery

PEORIA, Ariz. - June 26. John Cornell was able to click off his first Total Seal Late Model Series win of the year by topping Saturday's 25-lap main event at Canyon Speedway.  Cornell was able to move to the front after avoiding a mid-race mishap that involved race leader Tommy Hussak Jr.

Anthony Madrid worked his way up from the eighth position to challenge Cornell, but to no avail as Cornell was able to cross the stripe as the newest CSP winner.  Madrid, who was destined for second, finished just behind Cornell with Wayne Noyes, Lonnie Parker Jr. and James Chavez rounding out the top five.
