PONTOON BEACH, Ill. - July 9.Just as he was in 2009, Jason Feger was the man to beat Friday at Tri-City Speedway on the 21st stop of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Tour.

The Bloomington, Ill., native started early in the evening capturing quick-time honors, and he never relented.  Feger, the 2009 DIRTcar Late Model National Champion, went on to dominate his heat race on his way to leading all 40 laps of the feature, where he lapped everyone outside of the top five in a field that was trimmed by half by attrition even before the halfway point.  Feger's repeat performance of his first ever "Hell Tour" victory earned him $10,000.

Four cautions slowed the action, one on lap two for a tangle when a spinning Chad Zobrist was hit by Brandon Sheppard, eliminating both, but most were a result of a variety of mechanical troubles that sent scores of cars to the pits.

Will Vaught of Crane, Mo., climbed from sixth to second early, but never could challenge for the lead. After starting 12th, Shannon Babb finished third, his second straight third place performance.  Current DIRTcar Summer Nationals point leader Dennis Erb Jr. finished fourth, allowing Feger to cut 15 points from his lead heading into the final seven races.  Brian Shirley climbed from his 10th starting spot to round out the top five, the last car on the lead lap.
