Josh Putnam enjoyed a near perfect night of racing as he started on the pole and led every lap of the Southern Regional Racing Series (SRRS) event Saturday at Thunderhill Speedway. The current series points leader, the win put Putnam one step closer to the 2011 championship. Putnam, of Florence, Ala., held off fellow Alabama ace Ronny Lee Hollingsworth at the finish, with perennial series competitor Anthony Burroughs taking third ahead of a pair of local Middle Tennessee standouts, Eric Hickerson and Ray McElhiney.
