Payne Puts the Hurt on MARS Field at Osky

OSKALOOSA, Ia. - June 26. Jeremy Payne of Springfield, Mo. led every lap enroute to his first win of the 2010 season for the MARS DIRTcar Series and his seventh career series win.

Only one caution slowed the race action on lap 17 of the 30-lap feature, as Springfield, Missouri's Terry Phillips started fifth and raced his way up to second on the big half mile track. Chad Simpson started third on the grid and raced in that spot for most of the race. Al Purkey flirted with a top three finish but fell short forf ourth.
