Weaver, who started 11th after winning a B-Main, broke into the top five by lap nine and into the runner-up spot just after halfway in the 40-lap event. For his effort, Weaver picked up the $4000 winner’s check.

“This was a brand new car we brought tonight and we got behind and missed hot laps. So qualifying was the first laps on it. Josh and the guys worked hard and got it right for the B-Main and then we just tweaked on it for the feature.

We had to really work our tails off to get this win. I wasn’t real sure we were gonna' be able to get Ronny Lee there, but with about ten to go it seemed like we got pretty equal on lap times.” an exhausted Weaver said during his winner’s interview.

Hollingsworth, who set a brand new track record in qualifying amond 30 entries from nine states, stayed close to Weaver over the last few laps. However with just two laps remaining, his machine suddenly slowed and the Northport, Alabama driver retired pitside, citing overheating problems. Hollingsworth exit handed second over to a hard charging Chad Ogle of Sevierville, Tenn.

Ronnie Johnson duels #8 David Payne for fifth place before clinching the spot at Boyd's.

Jake Knowles, who ran in second early on, settled for third ahead of World of Outlaws Late Model regular Shane Clanton and three-time Series champion Ronnie Johnson.

A heavy early evening downpour of rain created nearly a two-hour delay in the program getting started.
