Southern Nationals: All Roberts at Cherokee Speedway  

GAFFNEY, S.C. - July 16. Casey Roberts led flag-to-flag at the storied Cherokee Speedway to capture his fourth career Southern Nationals Series triumph on Thursday.

 After setting fast time during qualifying, Roberts paced the stout field for all 35 circuits to claim the $3,500 payday. Dennis Franklin trailed throughout to finish second, while Ross Bailes held down third until he slipped out of the groove and let Jonathan Davenpprt sneak by. Seventh starter John Pursley, Jr. slipped by Bailes later in the race to finish fourth.

World of Outlaws Late Model Series regular Clint Smith worked his way by ten competitors to earn a sixth place finish and Hard Charger honors.
