Second Special of Labor Day Weekend at Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Ia. - Sept. 4. The crew didn't know what to expect after Jeremiah Hurst pulled out of the feature
Saturday West Liberty with rocker arm issues. On Sunday night at Dubuque Speedway, however, it was a
different story as the veteran from Dubuque grabbed the lead from Darren Miller on lap 11 and lead the
remaining 39 to win his second $2,000 race of the weekend and second win for the year overall.
Miller dropped out late in the race, and Mike Murphy, Jr, who made a gallant effort to run at Hurst for
the top spot, fell out late as well. Jake Meier had a great run for second, while Ace Ihm came from the rear of
the pack twice with tire issues to run third. Becky Roth put in a stellar performance in fourth, ahead of Jon
