JUNCTION CITY, Ky. - April 30. The National All Star Racing Association (NASRA) visited Ponderosa Speedway on Friday for the 11th annual Hugh “Junebug” Rowland Memorial, and Mike Marlar of Winfield, Tenn. claimed victory for the third time in his career in this race.

Marlar led from the start, but quickly slowed on lap three as an early caution flew for a caution that waved when Michael Chilton spun in turn one, collecting Jeff Watson, Bobby Wolter, Jr., and Arnie Fields.

Back underway, Marlar held off Dustin Neat and drove away until hitting lapped traffic on lap 15, allowing Neat to slowly reel the race leader back in.  Meanwhile, Brad Neat, Eric Wells, and Dustin Linville battled for third through fifth. By lap 27, Victor Lee had made his way into the top five, and on lap 32, he scooted by Brad Neat for third.

The battle for the lead would never materialize, as a caution flew on lap 35. Dustin Linville sat pointed in the wrong direction in turn four. Linville was then black-flagged for hitting another car during the caution period.

The final five circuits went caution free, with Marlar pulling away for the win. Dustin Neat, 10th starting Lee, Brad Neat, and Wells completed the top five.
