WHEATLAND, Mo. - April
10. Al Purkey has taken a liking to his new Larry Shaw Race Car as he topped the
Lucas Oil MLRA field at Lucas Oil Speedway's season opener for his first ever win at the 3/8ths mile oval.
As Purkey took his 47th career MLRA win, Jeremy Payne was right on his
heels to take the second spot at the stripe, followed by
veteran Kelly Boen out of Henderson, Colorado. Republic, Missouri's Brad
Looney, and GRT House Car pilot Jack
Sullivan.
