Wall Duels SUPR Champs For Baton Rouge
BAKER, La. - April 2. Former SUPR Series Rookie of
the Year Chris Wall fought off two former series champions to win his first win on the tour for the 2010 season,
and the tenth of his career.
The Holden, La. racer, now a regular on the Lucas
Oil Series as a ROY candidate with the national tour, returned to one of a handful of his "home" tracks in southern
Louisiana and southwest Mississippi and grabbed an early lead that was challenge midway through the race by
Alexandria veteran Rob Litton, then later another SUPR titleist, Ray Moore, to garner top honors.
Polesitter Jeff Chanler gave way to Wall on the first lap, then
found himself in a duel with Litton before the latter slipped his no.6 car into second and track down the leader
Wall. As the race approached its mid-point and Wall found himself negotiating traffic, Litton took advantage and
slid past for the lead on lap 16, thenexchanged it with Wall before giving it up for good. As Litton began to lose
momentum, eighth starting Moore, having battled his way past yet another SUPR champ David Ashley, as well as second
generation driver Kyle Cummings, stepped up and passed Litton for second with two circuits remaining on the
board. Cummings finished fourth, and with Wall decimating the field, Ashley's fifth place mount was the last on the
